Romantic

Today is just proof that you can always find new uses for clothing items, even if you just happen to stumble upon them.

As I was creating this outfit for a “romantic” look, I just couldn’t get it to look exactly how I pictured it in my head.

I layered this Lauren Conrad blouse over this cream colored dress I have and belted it, but didn’t like the length of the shirt hanging down.

And so, I decided to tuck it up under the belt, creating more of a blouse and skirt look, which is EXACTLY what I wanted.

Don’t ever hesitate to TRY something new because it might be better than you expect!

(Look here for a picture of the original dress.)

Sexy Or Safe?

You can easily make any “sexy” outfit safer (or in my case more comfortable) just by adding some leggings, boots and a soft sweater.

I easily transitioned this outfit from work to dinner out with our family in less than five minutes.

Plus, I felt so much cozier since the fog was rolling in and the temperature was dropping.

And it doesn’t even look like the same dress!

Red Lips

I’m not much of a makeup girl. Now, that doesn’t mean I don’t own a ton and LOVE to wear it, it just happens to be the thing that gets “thrown out the window” when I run out of time in the mornings. I have always been a mascara, blush and lip gloss girl though because of how quickly it freshens up my face.

But in the last couple months I discovered red lipstick and I am hooked.

It is so fun and vibrant and instantly makes you looked dressed up, even if you’re wearing sweats.

I recently have been wearing Mary Kay’s lip gloss in Rock ‘N Red and love how bright and glossy it is.

If you haven’t tried red lipstick yet, what’s holding you back?

Give it a try!
