THIS outfit is exactly what I expected to be wearing all week. This one, in my thoughts, is totally one a six-year-old would put together. (I DID pull the shirt gather the shirt in the back with a hairband and tucked it under though because otherwise I was Frumptown USA.) When my husband saw it, his reaction was “Wow! That’s a lot of pattern!” But it grew on me. I felt very French and artsy in it.

What I took away from this week:

1. Kids of all genders LOVE clothing and accessories that sparkle.

2. My son has a pretty good eye for color.

3. Anything (even crazy patterns) can work if you are confident and don’t care what people think of you. Just “make it work”!

Have a fantastic weekend!

When my son first made this outfit, he paired the lace shirt with a denim skirt that (unfortunately) doesn’t fit me right now. After I told him this, he expertly picked this beautiful dress for me to wear instead. I’m pretty sure my reaction was “Wow! No way, buddy. People are not going to believe that you made this outfit.” But he did. He must have been watching me because this is totally an outfit that I would create. He nailed my style to a T. I’m only a little concerned because he pulled out these shoes and said, “Peach shoes for a peach dress”, even though they don’t match. At least he used the word “peach”? 😉

I thought glitter and sequins is what little girls would be obsessed with, but apparently little boys can’t escape the shine and sparkle. Or that is just what they think their mommy should wear all the time. This is the third outfit my eldest son created for me and I’m loving it. I love how he picked sporty shoes to go with the dressy blouse and skirt.
