Very Jane Awesomeness

Posted on

I first heard about veryjane.com from Sarah when we met for her style consultation.

And I kinda wish I had never heard about it because I could have saved myself a lot of money. 😉

(All these necklaces came from their site! And all were less than $15!)

Very Jane sends out a daily email (only one I promise) with a LOT of awesome things. These “things” range from jewelry, clothes (mostly women’s, kids & baby’s), home items (such as table runners or pillows) and even photo edits for purchase. There are different sellers similar to etsy and they usually have limited items, so if you see something you like, don’t think it over for too long or it might be sold out before you make a decision.

Here is a sample of what their daily email looks like.

Everything is fairly inexpensive (it’s rare that I see something over $20) and sometimes sellers even have “blow out” sales where they sell any items that they have left over at a discounted rate, so you are able to get things even cheaper. It’s a great site for buying gifts and they always have a TON of amazing jewelry offered.

I liked the green skirt above so much, I bought a blue one for myself and my cousin (for her birthday) when they came up for sale again!

Hop on over to veryjane.com and sign up for their daily email. I promise that you won’t be disappointed. Just please don’t blame me when your savings starts rapidly decreasing.

Radio Shame

A while back my husband left me some lyrics to a song written and taped to our bathroom mirror. Jesse had heard it on the radio, liked the song & lyrics and wrote them down really quickly not knowing the band that performed them. They were really sweet words, almost poetic, but they also sounded super familiar to me. So I typed them into trusty Google and realized that they were the lyrics to a One Direction song. Now my husband isn’t incredibly snobby about his music preferences and enjoys a lot of different types, but boy bands can not be found on his playlists. So, to add to his radio shame, this past week he was listening to the radio again and heard another song he liked, only to find out it was…Katy Perry. Ha! I might never let that one go.

I have a problem. I CANNOT watch a movie without crying. And it doesn’t matter what kind of movie: drama, comedy, romance or kids film, I lose it. In fact, a couple weeks ago, we took our sons to see “Despicable Me 2” and I was bawling at the end. And before you ask if I’m pregnant, the answer is no. Unfortunately I can’t blame this on hormones. Nope, just total lack of emotional control. Ugh.
