Are You My Mother?

I have a friend that refers to her mom as “mom” in conversation. She doesn’t say “my mom” and so any snooping eavesdropper might assume that we have the same mother. I always poke fun at her and repeat “Oh yeah, mom…” while I roll my eyes. The funny thing is she isn’t the only person I have met that does this. Do you know other people that refer to their maternal unit as “mom”? Maybe I just come from a selfish breed because I find that even in conversations with my very own, flesh and blood siblings I say “my mom”, just in case my sisters were confused about whose mother we were talking about. 😉

I have recently become obsessed with the game Fruit Ninja. I know, I know, I’m super late to join the fad, but I’m sorta wishing I never did. It is crazy addicting and it got me thinking…what if we could do this in real life? Wouldn’t it be the best stress reliever to slice open mangoes, kiwis, and apples with a super sharp sword? Maybe not the safest hobby, but so fun. Let’s make this happen!! Maybe I could open a “Fruit Ninja” store. I could host little boy birthday parties and businesses could come for team building exercises. Wonder what the insurance would cost for a place like that? 😉

I LOVED Christina’s simple, yet fabulous outfit. The black maxi dress acts as a blank canvas easily dressed up with metallic details. I would happily add this necklace to my wardrobe.

On another note, I woke up to my youngest throwing up on me the other night. Ugh. No fun at all. Now I am petrified that I am going to get this nasty bug. If I do, I plan on riding it out and losing five pounds because that is the only plus to contracting the stomach flu. Bleh, bleh, bleh. I would happily keep that extra poundage though if it meant I didn’t have to hang out in the bathroom for a day. Fingers crossed.
