I realize more and more that I am a slave to the sun. I thrive under it. When the sun is out, I am energized and alive. Every year when the time change comes, it hits me hard. I stop being able to function after 5pm. I go to normal events that I attend weekly at 7pm and feel like it is the middle of the night. I am not joking when I say that I am IN BED by 7:30pm. Absolutely ridiculous. I have NO idea how the people of Alaska (or anywhere farther north) survive during those months when the sun is out for maybe an hour every day. I know for certain that I would shrivel up and die. Truth.
