Cream Cheese Bars

photo 3

I found this recipe on pinterest and knew I had to make it.

I mean with croissants, cream cheese and cinnamon sugar, how could you go wrong?!

It took about two minutes to make and even less than that to completely consume the entire pan.

So good.

INGREDIENTS:

-one roll of croissants (12 count)

-one bar of cream cheese (8 oz)

-cinnamon sugar (enough to cover top, we keep it on hand, so I just shook it over)

DIRECTIONS:

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

1. Roll croissants out and cut in half. Put half in 8 x 8 pan and pinch seams together.

2. Take cream cheese and spread entire amount of croissants. We used strawberry cream cheese.

3. Cover with remaining croissants and pinch seams together.

4. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top.

5. Put in oven for 20 minutes.

This recipe has so many other options. I’m thinking Cookie Butter instead of cream cheese. 😉

The Outtakes

When I started this blog, I never really thought about the fact that I would have to have my picture taken almost every day.

About 90% of the time, that duty of “cameraman” falls on my husband. He is a brilliant, wonderful husband and I love him so much, but there are times that he would rather be doing something else other than taking my picture. I totally understand.

During those times, he just snaps away hoping he’ll get a good one.

These are some of the outtakes that occur because of that.

And I just needed an excuse to remind you of what a nerd I really am. 😉

Looks like I’m gonna pass out and fall over. Ha!

He really enjoys continuously snapping pictures until I reach my camera.

And almost every day at least one of my children has to wiggle their way into the picture somehow.

This one was actually one I had Liam take before my friend Jenny took over.

Feel free to add a caption to this one. Ridiculous.

Sometimes when you’re too busy taking a picture, your child decides to climb up on top of the picnic table.

7 Ways To Style A Button-Up Shirt

The classic button-up blouse is an incredibly versatile item to have in your wardrobe.

If you buy a solid, neutral color (such as chambray, grey, white or black), you can dress it up or down a number of ways. It also is an important tool to use for layering.

Here are SEVEN ways to style your standard button-up blouse.

1. Find a longer blouse (one that is past your hips and covers your butt) and wear with a bright pair of skinny jeans.

2. Wear it buttoned up over a dress or skirt, using a skinny belt to accentuate your waist.

3. Wear over a dress and tie the shirt at your waist. I think this looks exceptionally good with colorful flannels and makes a great alternative to a sweatshirt.

4. Wear with a cardigan and roll the sleeves over to make it 3/4 sleeve length. This is a basic way to quickly dress up a pair of jeans.

5. Wear under a short sleeved sweater or shirt.

6. Tuck into skirt and belt it. This is my personal fave.

7. Wear it with shorts over a tank or lightweight t-shirt and loosely tuck into waistband. And don’t forget to add a statement necklace!
