When I was younger, people would ask me if I hated my freckles. I was blown away by this question because I felt completely the opposite. I LOVED my freckles because they made me stand out (which is something I sorta kinda love to do…guilty) and it made me closer to my make-believe BFF Anne Shirley. I always used to joke about my freckles molding together and then I would actually be tan. Well friends, the day has finally come. I noticed today that about five of my freckles have decided to start a gang and have clumped together into a giant (or maybe about half an inch) spot on my cheek and it’s not pretty. I am now afraid that I will start to resemble a dalmation. This summer I’ll be completely covered from head to toe as not to acquire any more skin damage. Anyone have a burka I can borrow? 😉

My Spring Break started today and I’m going a little crazy. I’ve made a “to-do” list of things that I want to get done this week.

-organize cabinets in garage

-have garage sale

-clean refrigerator

-hang pictures in hallway (reason numero uno for the giant mess in the garage, so I should probably do this first)

-organize spices

-go to Hobby Lobby (never been before…who’s with me?!)

-take shoes to cobbler

-mend clothes (finished half of this task already…boom)

-go to Dunkin Donuts (I know this might not seem like a big deal to some of you, but we don’t have any here in CA and the only one we DO have is on the military base, so I’m scheming up a reason that they would let me in so that I can get my precious Munchkins.)

Every time I go on break, I try to be the most productive person I can be and make it the most exciting vacation I could have. All this to say, I become sort of a freak and have a panic attack with each passing day that my blessed vacation is almost over. So if I look a little crazed in this week’s posts, you know what’s up. 😉

Growing Up And The Importance Of Helmets

Posted on

Growing up astounds me. It seems as if you reach a point where you plateau. Where you mentally stay a certain age.

I am 31, but I still feel like I am 26. I look at my life and am completely floored that I have been married for almost 6 years and have 2 kids?! What the WHAT?! When did that happen? Why is life going so fast?!

And also, to confirm my adultness, I feel this great need to yell at kids, who are riding bikes, to wear a helmet. Don’t they know how important their little brains are?!

Yep, I’m a full-blown, rule-screaming grown up.

Ugh.

And please excuse the wrinkled skirt. I guess I’m not a full-blown ironing grown-up. 😉
