Chore Swap

I hate cleaning my house. Unfortunately it is an evil necessity, unless I don’t mind living in a house from Hoarders, which I do. That show is like a train wreck, you know you should stop and look away, but it’s just so bad. But I digress. There are certain chores that I don’t mind doing, so I’m wondering if anyone is my chore opposite and wouldn’t mind “swapping” with me.

Here’s what I like to do…followed by what I dislike:

-separating laundry into colors (love this)…putting laundry away (but really is there anyone out there that likes this?!)

-unloading the dishwasher…cleaning dishes (yuck, ew, barf)

-vacuuming…sweeping and mopping (although the Swiffer WetJet is a game changer)

-sitting on my butt & watching TV while eating cookies…washing windows/walls

So…anyone up for a little exchange? Wanna come over & clean my house while I indulge my laziness? Ha! 😉

Summer Panic

I have to go back to work one week from today. My summer is coming to an end. My one on one, being home 24/7 with my family is almost over. I am depressed and in denial of this fact and I go into a panic every time I think about it. It’s funny how being off for only a month and a half leaves you with the feeling that you forget how to do your job. I’ve been doing it for eight years, so I’m sure it’ll come back to me as soon as I get to work next week. It’s like riding a bike, right? 😉

Snail Mail

I LOOOOOOOOVE receiving snail mail. Not junk mail, grocery store weeklys or bills, but letters from friends and invitations to showers/parties. How fabulous a feeling is it to open your mailbox and see a handwritten note made out just to you? For that reason, I try to send as many letters to my friends as often as I think of them, which is not as often as I’d like since I usually end up getting distracted before I sit down to write something. So I think you should get a card (or a napkin/post-it/back of a receipt), write something kind to a friend and mail it off today. Maybe we should call these little acts of kindness “mailing it forward”. 🙂
