Bridesmaid Hair

Posted on

I have been so tired this week. Like so exhausted there have been times I questioned why I was driving (don’t worry, I was fine and still making smart decisions). Tomorrow is the last day of school, so things this week at work have been streeeesssssffffuuuulllll. Needless to say, I don’t feel like I have a lot of fashion “advice” to give you today.

But bear with me…my best friend is getting married next week and I will be doing my own hair. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do, but here’s what I was thinking:

1. Milkmaid braid-Cute, easy to do and different. Also very country-ish and the wedding will be in the country, so it’d be fitting. But is it too childish?

2. Top bun with a bow-I’ve never tried this before, so I don’t know if I could do it, but it’s so dang pretty!

3. Messy Fishtail braid-very easy to do, but is it fancy enough for a wedding? Or too casual?

4. Sideways braid to low ponytail-This is very easy and then I’d plan to put tight curls at the end of the side ponytail.

That’s what’s on my mind lately. What do you think of these four hairstyles? Any votes as to which one I should do? I’d love your opinions.

And I’ll do my best to post pictures of my hair at the wedding. 🙂

Happy Fashion Friday!

(Here’s to getting more sleep next week. Ha! Who am I kidding?)

Things I’m Diggin’

These are some things that I’ve been loving lately.

Figured I’d share.

1. English Muffin Bread-So ridiculously easy to make and really, really yummy.

2. These plantain chips from Trader Joe’s. They were gone in less than ten minutes.

3. This conditioner makes me want to eat my hair. Smells so good.

4. Crock Pot Honey Sesame Chicken-Yumm-o.

5. Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer-takes my “glow-in-the-dark” legs to a nice natural tan color without streaks. Happy me.

So that’s what I’ve been diggin’ lately. How about you? Got any new recipes/awesome products you’ve been using lately?

Please share!!!

Hair-spiration

I love change. Not when it comes to people, such as friends moving away, but I am a big fan of moving furniture around, trying new restaurants and changing my hairstyle.

As long as it keeps things fresh and interesting.

I love to take risks with my hair and make statements, therefore I have this itching feeling to chop it or perm it.

Ruh roh.

Here’s what’s been inspiring me lately:

Hair 1

1-5- I love short, choppy bobs, but I think my husband would have a heart attack if I lobbed my hair off. Plus, long is so much easier to style (Can you tell this has been a continual argument in my head for a while now? Blerg.)

6-I love ANYTHING and everything that Rachel McAdams does. She’s so gosh darn pretty. If only my hair were naturally wavier…

hair 2

7 & 8-I love the longer layers of Carrie & Rachel’s do’s. Plus I would be able to pull my hair into a ponytail.

9-I’ve never really thought Jessica Biel was that pretty until I saw this picture (plus, she stole JT, so I don’t know if I can ever forgive her), but I LOVE the ombre color she’s rocking and the beachy, long layers with thick bangs (I’m not ready to give mine up).

10 & 11- I love these medium length cuts, especially #11’s waves.

And “The Carrie Diaries” has me wanting to perm my hair so badly. I mean, who wouldn’t want these Goldilock-can’t-keep-your-fingers-out-of-my-hair curls?! So, so, so pretty.
