***Check back here tomorrow morning for details on a RAD GIVEAWAY!!!!***

TV, oh sweet TV

When I was younger, we didn’t have TV. I know, shocking, right? I think my parents wanted us to get out of the house and enjoy the fresh air, whatever that’s all about. ๐Ÿ˜‰

When I was in high school, I had my friend record an entire season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer for me and I watched it in secret. That was my big rebellion during my teenage years. (P.S. How do I raise my kids to be just like me? Ha!)

When I got to college, I became obsessed with TV now that I had the freedom to watch it whenever I wanted. I would watch up to four or five shows a night. Studying, what’s studying? There was none of that to be done when I could laugh at Lorelai & Rory’s sarcastic banter or freak out about Felicity cutting her hair.

So, now that it is fall, you know I am a happy person. All of my shows are back on and I can contentedly make sure I keep up with all of them on hulu.com. (best.invention.ever.)

I thought to pay homage to my sweet obsession, I would do a post on the fashion of some of my favorite shows.

New Girl

If I could steal borrow replicate any character’s wardrobe, it would be Jess Day. She has a flirty, fun style that accentuates ladylike curves. Plus, she isn’t afraid of bright colors. My kinda girl.

Hart of Dixie

This show is about a New York doctor that ends up working in a small town in Alabama. Rachel Bilson wears designer clothing and makes anything look good on her petite body.

Revenge

This story takes place in the Hamptons, so the lead character, Emily Thorne is always pulled together and classy, even if she’s wearing jeans. Not a lot of color or fancy accessories, but so grown up and sophisticated in neutrals with simple, elegant details.

Up All Night

Christina Applegate’s character is the epitome of a non-frumpy mom. I love how she is a working mother and has the perfect balance between girly, comfortable and professional.

How I Met Your Mother

I have drooled over Robin and Lily’s outfits since season 1. They do casual perfectly with a lot of sweaters, rad boots and belts.

Jane By Design

This show on ABC Family is one of my favorites. It centers around a design company in New York, so of course the wardrobes are uniquely phenomenal. I only wish I was half as cute and sassy as Jane when I was in high school.

Once Upon A Time

Centering in a small Maine town, this show involves a lot of hats and coats. Every time I see Ginnifer Goodwin in her precious pixie cut, I want to cut my hair really short. Thoughts?

ย Royal Pains

This show is all sorts of cheesy, but I can’t stop watching. Also taking place in the Hamptons, the actors are always incredibly dressed. Plus, I could do an entire post on Divya’s accessories! She has the best necklace and earring options.

What are some of your favorite shows?

  1. Some of those dresses I’d be afraid to bend over in….. OK, so that’s the old lady coming out in me. I like the way the girl dresses in: Once Upon A Time. Last but not least, I like your perky pink dress with the cowboy boots.

  2. Such a fun idea! We’ve been watching Up All Night too but I haven’t seen the rest of the ones you mentioned. My favorite shows…Parenthood! Tell me you watch Parenthood? And (although I’m a little embarrassed to admit it,) Grey’s Anatomy. Yep, I’m still watching Grey’s even though I think most people stopped watching it a long time ago! And I like Modern Family and a couple others. ๐Ÿ™‚ By the way, love your cute blog design…been meaning to tell you that!

    • I love Parenthood and Modern Family! It makes me cry with every episode. I used to watch Grey’s, but stopped watching it at the third season. I totally also watch Bones, The Mentalist, all the NBC comedy shows, etc. I LOVE TV!! Thanks for the compliment on the blog design. It’s a work in progress, but I like it too. ๐Ÿ™‚
