I am on week three of vacation and it has been lovely. It has been so nice to enjoy the holidays and still have another week to recuperate and relax. Especially since I got a lot of the “things I need to get done” last week. It’s funny how vacations as a mom turn into “complete everything on the to-do list” when it used to be full of hanging out with friends and shopping. I am crazy thankful for the time to just be with the boys though and hang out and do chores during normal hours. Sorta funny to think some people get to do this every day. 😉

Is it just me or does it seem like EVERYONE has a cold? Yikes. My friends and I sent out a group text message a couple days ago to get together and I swear more than half of them wrote back saying that they were sick, their husband was sick or both. I DO NOT want to get sick over this break, so I’m currently drinking some Emergen-C. I’m also thinking about going into seclusion to keep the germs away. Because being pregnant and sick is the WORST. Praying you all stay healthy too!

During this holiday season, I’m offending people left and right. It’s true. So I apologize right now to the barista at Starbucks, the checker at the grocery store and my mailman. I’m sorry that I can’t help saying “Merry Christmas”. I find such joy sharing these two magical words with people. If you celebrate Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, feel free to tell me your special greeting and I’ll take it in stride. But in my world, “Merry Christmas” ALWAYS trumps “Happy Holidays”.
