I am OBSESSED with cookie butter. I will eat it by the spoonful: original, crunchy or mixed with chocolate. If you haven’t discovered the beauty that is cookie butter, I suggest you track down your nearest Trader Joe’s and drive (even if it is two hours away) and buy it immediately! If I was in some sort of situation that I had to choose my last meal, I would 100% for sure include cookie butter in one way or another. What would you request for your last meal? Don’t think about the possible execution part that would gruesomely follow, just the delicious food that you could consume beforehand.

I know that normally I have some clever “verbal vomit” to put out with each post, but things have been so nuts lately, so I figured I’d just catch you up on my life happenings:

-I entered a black and white portrait of my husband into the fair photography contest. I’m really hoping I get in, but most of all I can’t WAIT for the fair to start!

-We celebrated two birthdays this weekend (my niece and my dad), so my belly is contently full of celebratory sugary desserts.

-We are making a hallway to nowhere in our house (long story…I’ll explain later), so we spent a good part of the weekend texturing, priming and painting. I’m beat.

-I am pretty sure I am giving birth to a baby ninja or an octopus. Either way, he NEVER stops moving. And I can’t wait to meet him. 🙂

End Of An Era

Okay, I realize what I’m going to say right now is going to make me sound really old, but is any one else super saddened by Blockbuster closing?! It feels like the end of an era. It baffles me that kids will never know what it’s like to go to a video store and roam the aisles for an hour trying to decide on something to rent. I have so many good memories of going to Blockbuster during college with friends debating which movie was the best and why our movie of choice should be the one to rent. I get it that Netflix/Redbox/Amazon Prime is so much more convenient, but it’s not the same. Am I alone in this sadness?! At least I didn’t get this depressed when VHS went practically extinct. Ha!
