One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever heard and one that I pass on to my students is:

“If you have to make small talk with someone and you have no idea what to say, ask them what television shows they watch.”

Because almost everybody watches TV and it is a great conversation starter.

So…what shows have you been watching? I can’t get enough TV. It’s bad. I’m loving the new show “Manhattan Love Story”. It’s super cute…kinda like watching a RomCom movie but spread out over episodes. I’ve also been watching my old shows like “Revenge”, “Once Upon A Time”, “Castle”, “Nashville” (I guess ABC has got me hook, line and sinker), “Reign”, “New Girl” and of course “Brooklyn 99”.

Sooooooooooooooooooo…I don’t have much to say today (fancy that), but here’s an outfit for you made completely out of thrifted and hand-me-down clothes. Who says you have to spend tons of money on your clothes to look cute?! FALSE! BTW, I am totally free to go thrifting with anyone anytime. Just let me know. Peace out for today.

I have a friend that travels a lot. And I find myself being really jealous of her. I mentioned how envious I was of her and she commented that its all in where you decide to spend your money. That traveling is her ONE thing. And I started thinking…
“What is my one thing that I don’t mind spending money on?”

I live to thrift shop/garage sale, so spending even $15 on a shirt sometimes seems excessive, but I hardly ever blink an eye when it comes to my hair. I LOVE to get my hair done every other month and am beyond lucky to have an amazingly talented stylist (who I also am blessed to call a friend). Whether it is hair products, bobby pins or hair tools (curling irons, crimpers, wavers, etc…I have them all), I want the best money can buy. Those things are not the items that I will end up buying at a thrift store.

So what is your one thing?
