This has been the first season that my oldest son has played baseball and we are loving it! I was a little worried before we signed him up that the schedule would be crazy, but so far it hasn’t been too bad. I don’t know what I’m going to do when he’s not in t-ball and the games are longer than three innings or when we have more than one kid playing a sport. GULP. I tell ya though, I’ve never felt such success at being a mother than when we come home from a game every week and I successfully get all the dirt and grass stains out of his WHITE baseball pants. Woot. Self-high-five!

Okay, I realize what I’m going to say right now is going to make me sound really old, but is any one else super saddened by Blockbuster closing?! It feels like the end of an era. It baffles me that kids will never know what it’s like to go to a video store and roam the aisles for an hour trying to decide on something to rent. I have so many good memories of going to Blockbuster during college with friends debating which movie was the best and why our movie of choice should be the one to rent. I get it that Netflix/Redbox/Amazon Prime is so much more convenient, but it’s not the same. Am I alone in this sadness?! At least I didn’t get this depressed when VHS went practically extinct. Ha!

Well, hello there! I absolutely and unintentionally took a break for the last couple of weeks. This third trimester kinda hit me like a brick. All that tiredness that I never got before caught up with me. Also, we have started redoing parts of our house, so for the last three weeks, my house has been in a dusty, crazy state of movement and construction. I’m 34 weeks now (in case you were keeping count) and when people are told how far along I am, I seriously want to punch them when they say “You’re so close!” Seriously?! Uh…maybe if I said 38 weeks, but I’ve still got a month and a half to go! Blerg. Please bear with me and my anxiousness to meet this little boy and not be pregnant anymore. 🙂
